The competition, organized by the Foundation UniVerde and the Italian Geographic Society, aims to celebrate the beauty of Italian landscapes on the occasion of the 41st Earth Day, on 22 April.
The objective of the specific value of the environmental heritage of the Italian parks and questoi competitors must submit a photograph whose subject is related to a regional or national park and must specify the place where the subject is located .
Photographs must be in color and size minimum 1600x1200 pixels in landscape or portrait format and should be sent to the email address concorso.obiettivoterra2 @ fondazioneuniverde.it by March 21, 2011. A panel of experts on geo-environmental, scientific, sociological, and photographic media will evaluate the submissions received on the basis of adherence to the objective, originality, technical quality and artistic quality.
The prize for the winner (2,500 euro) will be delivered during an event to be held in Rome April 21, 2011. The winning photograph will also be exposed with a maxi-poster in Milan and Rome.
There will also be awards for the best photographs for the 'coastal zone', 'rural landscape', 'trees or forest trees,' animals.
