In 2003 a law was born in Piedmont - Regional Law July 15, 2003 No 17 "Enhancement of the artistic expressions in the street" - that was the first in Italy, recognizes the "willingness to consider the Piedmont territory hospitable to all activities of musical, theatrical and expressive figurative artists in the street carried out freely in public spaces" raison d'être: the artist in our region road was thus argued in recent years by a careful thought that went beyond the award of annual prizes and specific financial contributions to municipalities and festivals through a number of different initiatives aimed at promoting and enhancing the artistic expressions in street and contemporary circus.
In these years have been awarded the Prize Torototele 35 artists not only in Piedmont, in some cases from other Italian regions, or the rest of the world: Germany, Iran, Argentina ... and has been enhanced and promoted through economic contributions a network of reality on the territory . From that small municipalities through workshops and initiatives of the show have been able to awaken the interest of a very diverse audience to this artistic language, to municipalities and festivals that have made festivals are able to revitalize the urban space, bringing the creativity of the most interesting results emerging experimentation and research through the participation of artists and companies, including international, projects that have stimulated the production of new shows and their circulation in the area.
Torototele In 2011, the Prize is not banned, but are assigned to regional contributions, for a total of € 250,000.00 to municipalities and associations of Piedmont, with the aim to grow more rich and purposeful regional arts fabric art in the street, and continue to encourage opportunities for meeting, collaboration and exchange with other national and international.
